IT'S FINALLY HAPPENING :: NO PHOTOSHOP - COMMERCIALLY??

Some of the things retouching in campaigns will typically do away with - a little belly, armpits and the natural crease around the waist/hip area, all left in as part of the campaign to feature no retouching

Anyone who knows me will tell you that I have a very firm NO PHOTOSHOP rule in my studio. I take REAL pictures of REAL people, flaws and all. It's probably the main reason my business has grown as fast as it has.

It's awesome to see a Big Brand in the US finally taking note of the damage editorial and fashion media is doing to people's self esteem. Their stance on no Photoshop is both refreshing and very encouraging for the future of our industry.

Don't get me wrong. I love Photoshop if it's artistic and unique or needed, but using it in mainstream media to mislead impressionable people is not cool... and I'll keep campaigning ot get it stopped.

It's a Wednesday, and I count this as a huge win! See the original article HERE

Ciao.
